British Dyslexia Association (BDA) Quality Mark Award

The Quality Mark philosophy is that changing practice to accommodate dyslexic individuals results in good practice for everyone.

In October 2023, we achieved the Dyslexia Friendly Quality Mark in recognition of the high quality dyslexia friendly practice across school.

Our Dyslexia Friendly Quality Mark will provide a framework of support and understanding to ensure that everyone within our school understands the needs of the dyslexic individual and that appropriate resources and strategies for support are available. This in turn is likely to lead to greater levels of achievement for everyone.

The Quality Mark award is only issued to schools or organisations that can demonstrate that they provide high quality education and/or practice for dyslexic individuals. Whilst Quality Mark should ensure the needs of most children with dyslexia are supported, some children with the most severe needs may require more specialist support.  This will be directed and led by our school SENDCo, Louise Delibal, who holds a specialist dyslexia qualification.
